Zakotwiczone

The series was launched in 2021 in response to new realities that emerged in a time of disintegrating communities, weakening European, neighbourly and human ties, the collapse of established geopolitical structures, and changing ways of everyday life. In this context, the very idea of geopoetics has evolved—literature that crosses not only political but also cultural and mental borders has become a tool for reconnecting and interpreting the world’s ongoing transformations.

The Anchored series provides a space for literature that challenges conventional thinking, explores emotional reflexes, and delves into the depth of ideas. These are books that confront the challenges of the present and the future while remaining rooted in the past—in the ground that nourishes them, the historical context, the value system, or even a single nerve anchored in time and place.

In this post-isolation world—marked by catastrophe—a new sensitivity is being born. The familiar notions of what is ours, native, and known have burned out. The borders between West and East, North and South, and between national literatures and languages are once again shifting. It is time to move beyond the comfort of binary oppositions and divisions. To unlock new cultural meanings, we must embrace multiplicity and the inevitability of change—to connect while moving, to flow while re-anchoring.

The time has come to move past narratives built on convenient oppositions and divides. To release new cultural meanings, we must accept variation and constant change. Literature is never static—it connects, and it roots us anew.
