Agnieszka Rembiałkowska
(b. 1980, Włocławek) – translates from Lithuanian and occasionally from Latvian. Lecturer at the Department of Baltic Studies, Faculty of Polish Studies, University of Warsaw. She holds a degree in Baltic Philology from the University of Warsaw, complemented by courses and internships at Vilnius University, Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, and others. She also completed a course in audiovisual translation (specializing in film and media translation) at Fortima. She takes part in various initiatives aimed at promoting Lithuanian culture in Poland. Since 2016, together with colleagues and students (and Sarna Grażyna, the department’s mascot) from Warsaw’s Baltic Studies, she has organized annual meetings with Lithuanian poets as part of the Spring of Poetry in Warsaw (Poezijos pavasaris Varšuvoje), held online in 2020 and 2021 with the YouTube playlists Bezwiosna Poezji w Warszawie 2020 and Międzywiośnie Poezji w Warszawie 2021.
