Echo of Letters | (Book) Cover Me Curious – Exhibition

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover – but what if the cover is the story? Step into an exhibition that challenges this old adage, suggesting that sometimes, the cover reveals more about a publication than the title alone.

About

“(Book) Cover Me Curious”, presented as part of the “Echo of Letters” project, invites you into a world where form meets content. It celebrates the vital visual side of contemporary literature, showing how design becomes a gateway to literature.  Discover why a well-crafted cover is far more than decoration – it’s the powerful opening chapter hinting at the narrative within.

The exhibition brings together  covers from selected publishing houses and  literary and cultural magazines, creating a unique space to contemplate the aesthetics and the messages they convey. It’s your chance to admire graphic designs that don’t just grab attention – they tell their own fascinating visual stories.

Featured works include selections from publishers like ArtRage, Tajfuny, Filtry, and Workshops of Culture, alongside titles such as Pismo. Magazyn Opinii, Czas Literatury, and Strona Czynna.

Join us on opening night for the opportunity to purchase publications from the featured publishers – the perfect moment to take home not just inspiration, but a book whose cover captureds your imagination.

Funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage through the Culture Promotion Fund – a state special purpose fund. Media Patrons: Radio Lublin, Pismo. Magazyn Opinii, Kultura Enter.

About the “Echo of Letters” Project

Echo of Letters is a year-round initiative that expands the literary activities of Workshops of Culture, and reimagines how we connect with literature. Going beyond traditional reading, it explores unexpected links between the written word and other art forms – especially sound.

The project also actively nurtures emerging talent through a dedicated cycle of workshops and educational programmes for writers and creators.

At its heart, Echo of Letters seeks to strengthen the place of books in our lives by offering multi-sensory, immersive literary experiences. Simultaneously, it aims to raise the visibility and profile of  writers and critics who shape our literary landscape.

By blending engaging artistic events, practical education, and community-building activities, Echo of Letters provides participants with deeper and more diverse ways to engage with literature. It’s not just about promoting reading; it’s about fostering intergenerational exchange and creating vibrant new spaces for literary exploration.

Look forward to a programme that includes  art exhibitions, conversations pairing thematic literature authors with field recording artists, and writing workshops designed for various skill levels.
