Artem Czech | Ukraine

Artem Czech (real name Artem Cherednyk, b. 1985  in Cherkasy) – A Ukrainian writer and sociologist by education. The author of fiction books such as  You Won’t Find This on Yandex (2007), Kenya (2007), Artist (2008), The anatomical Atlas (2008), The Blue Doors on the Left (2008) Doc 1 (2009), Pink Syrups (2012), and non-fiction: A History of Motorsports in Ukraine (2013) and Awesome Ukraine. Interesting Things You Need To Know (2017) which he has co-authored with Tamara Kravchenko and Iryna Tsylik. He was the editor-in-chief of the documentary projects: 94 Days: Euromaidan Through the Eyes of TSN [Television News Service] (2014) and War Through the Eyes of TSN (2015). From May 2015 to July 2016 he performed military service in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The first of his books translated into Polish was Point Zero – Punkt Zerowy (2019) which was shortlisted for the Ryszard Kapuściński Award for Literary Reportage.
