Agnė Žagrakalytė
(b. 1979, Puodžiai, Pasvalys District, Lithuania) – Lithuanian poet, novelist, and essayist. She studied Lithuanian philology at the Vilnius Pedagogical University and worked for the cultural weekly Literatūra ir menas from 2003 to 2005. Since 2004, she has lived in Brussels.
She is the author of several poetry collections and novels, and the recipient of numerous major Lithuanian literary awards. Her work has been translated into English, French, German, Slovenian, and Italian.
In Poland, Agnė Žagrakalytė’s poems have appeared in Arteria, Borussia, Pismo, Tekstualia, and Tygiel Kultury. Her books published in Polish include Poems from Brussels, Klara. Bande dessinée, and Exactly. For Exactly (translated by Agnieszka Rembiałkowska), she was shortlisted for the 2020 European Poet of Freedom Award.
