Book Launch: “Obrazki filozoficzne”
A new book published by the Workshops of Culture has just gone on sale — Philosophical Vignettes, a collection of literary sketches and other short pieces by authors representing various fields of the humanities, above all culture, philosophy, and literature.
About the Book
The volume features texts by distinguished philosophers such as Prof. Tadeusz Sławek, Prof. Bogdan Banasiak, and Prof. Piotr Bartula, as well as contributions from Lithuanian art scholar Dr. Basia Nikiforova, the charismatic researcher Dr. Maciej Wodziński, and renowned ethicist and clergyman Rev. Prof. Alfred Wierzbicki.
This intergenerational book — part essayistic, part personal — was created as a dedication to Prof. Jadwiga Mizińska, a Lublin-based philosopher and writer who, for several decades, has inspired and gathered around her numerous friends and creative individuals from Poland and beyond.
Philosophical Vignettes is part of the Zakotwiczone (Anchored) series, which includes titles that explore the challenges of the present and the future while maintaining a deep connection to the past — to the roots, historical context, value systems, and even the subtle threads anchored in a specific time and place.
Contributors: Tadeusz Sławek, Bogdan Banasiak, Paweł Bytniewski, Basia Nikiforova, Aleksander Jan Tyszkiewicz, Piotr Skudrzyk, Józef Duda, Jan Darecki “Jano”, Piotr Bartula, Jacek Breczko, Ewa Kościuszko, Maciej Wodziński, Ewa Hyży, Iwona Zakrzewska, Zofia Majewska, Alfred Wierzbicki, Tomasz Rokosz, Jacek Zalewski, Małgorzata Stępnik, Przemysław Głuchowski, Tenia Klimowicz, Monika Kardaczyńska, Roman Pukar, Kazimiera Stasiak, Irena Nawrot, Jadwiga Sebesta, Natalia Rososińska-Kozub, Grażyna Lutosławska, Danuta Kurczewicz, Mira Ledowska, Katarzyna Tynkiewicz.
