Władysław Panas | Poland
Władysław Panas was born on March 28, 1947, in Dębica, near Kołobrzeg. He studied and worked at the Catholic University of Lublin. He was a full professor, a literary theorist and historian, and an eminent researcher of Bruno Schulz, Józef Czechowicz, and the Jewish influences in Polish literature and culture.
Initially, when Panas arrived in Lublin as a student, he perceived the city as provincial and was hesitant to embrace it.However, over the course of 25 years, his perspective shifted, leading him to call Lublin a magical place.
